A Global Call for Best Practices in AIED: Scenarios-Driven Educational Transformation

  • 14/10/2025

The World Digital Education Alliance (WDEA) invites global submissions of best practices in Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED). This initiative aims to accelerate educational transformation and share innovative, AI-powered experiences among countries, regions, and institutions.

I. General Information

Target Participants:

We welcome submissions from every level of education: from national and regional initiatives to individual classrooms and innovators.

Scope of Case Collection:

Submissions are invited from all educational stages, including basic education, higher education, vocational training, and lifelong learning. We are particularly interested in cases that demonstrate the tangible impact of AI in driving innovation, improving quality, and supporting sustainable educational transformation.

II. Case Categories (Scenario-Based Classification)

We invite submissions that demonstrate the practical application of AI to solve key educational challenges. Cases should highlight innovative approaches, with a focus on the following areas:

Personalize Teaching & Learning

Utilize AI to tailor education, providing adaptive learning paths, customized resources, and one-on-one support. Examples include intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and AI study companions.

Innovate Classroom Instruction

Apply AI to enhance teaching methods, boost student engagement, and optimize lesson planning. This includes tools for interactive classrooms, real-time feedback, and AI-assisted curriculum design.

Transform Assessment & Evaluation

Use AI to modernize evaluation, making it more efficient and comprehensive. This covers intelligent homework systems, automated grading, predictive analytics for learning risks, and holistic student development reports.

Optimize Management & Services

Implement AI to streamline administrative processes, improve resource allocation, and support data-driven decision-making in campus operations, academic administration, and educational governance.

Enable Immersive & Practical Learning

Utilize AI to create realistic simulations and virtual environments for hands-on experience. Examples include virtual labs, collaborative virtual classrooms, and vocational skill training platforms.

Pioneer New Frontiers in Education

We also welcome groundbreaking applications that address emerging challenges, such as promoting inclusive education, supporting teacher development, ensuring academic integrity, and fostering sustainable educational practices.

 III. Submission Requirements

Demonstrated Innovation

Submissions must showcase innovation, whether through the novel application of AI technology or the development of new, AI-driven educational models that advance beyond traditional practices.

Tangible Impact

Cases must provide clear evidence of effectiveness, supported by specific data or feedback, in areas such as student outcomes, teaching efficiency, or institutional management.

Replicability & Scalability

Solutions should be designed for broad adoption, with clear implementation paths that do not depend on unique or exclusive resources.

Ethical & Legal Compliance

Cases must comply with all local educational policies and laws and must demonstrate a commitment to ethical AI principles – including data privacy, security, fairness, and impartiality.

Clarity & Completeness

All submissions must be accurate, well-structured, and include the core contents outlined in the submission guidelines:

  1. Case Background: The educational problems or challenges that the case aims to solve, and the necessity of applying AI technology.

  2. Implementation Process: The specific measures, technical solutions (including the type of AI technology used and its application method), implementation steps, and timeline of the case.

  3. Innovation Highlights: The unique features and innovative points of the case compared with other similar practices.

  4. Effectiveness Proof: Specific data, evidence, or user feedback that demonstrates the implementation effect of the case (e.g., academic performance improvement rates, teacher/staff satisfaction scores, award certifications, media reports).

  5. Promotion Plan: The plan and feasibility analysis for promoting the case to other regions or institutions (including potential promotion paths, adaptation suggestions, and expected promotion effects).

IV. Procedures

1.  Submission Method
